The best in the league is down to the three top scorer with Juventus’ Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sergio Aguero and Edinson Cavani having been the top scorers in the top tier of the Italian game.
However, the former Italy internationals have had a rough go of it this season, as they have only scored seven goals in their last eight league games, compared to 21 goals in the last 14 games.
“I think I’m one of the best two or three players in Serie B,” Zlatomiric said on Saturday, admitting he’s struggled for form and consistency this season.
“I’m not really satisfied with my performances but I think I’ve played well, even though I don’t think I have the best team.”
You need to play a certain way, you need to be the player you are and that’s what I am.
“This season I’ve scored more goals than I did last season, but I still need to improve, but it’s been nice to score goals.”
Everyone needs to be a bit more confident and I think this season I have a lot of quality.
“Zlatan’s two goals in Sunday’s win over Torino have put him in second place in Serie C after his 10th goal of the season.
Ibrahimovic and Aguero have scored 10 goals each in the three games, while Cavani has scored eight.
But Cavani’s 10 goals in 14 league games is the second most in Serie E, behind Juventus’ Sergio Agueros.
The pair have scored nine goals in 11 league matches.
